Our Staff

Vicki Wilkerson, M.Ed., LPC

WilkersonIMG 6035rMs. Wilkerson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers a range of therapies to children, adolescents, and their families. As part of her counseling work, she specializes in play therapy and expressive techniques for children. She also provides parenting support and education.

In her years as a therapist, Ms. Wilkerson has played a pivotal role in helping numerous families deal with crisis. She also has extensive experience as a forensic evaluator, most recently with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy.

As part of Ms. Wilkerson’s work with adults, she is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as hypnosis. She considers these advanced therapies to be powerful tools for dealing with trauma, addictions, and life transitions.

Ms. Wilkerson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on Humanistic Studies, from State University of West Georgia in 1995. She earned a Master’s Degree in Education from that school in 1999. She joined Gelernter & Associates in 2005.

In addition to her private practice, Ms. Wilkerson serves as Adjunct Faculty for graduate programs at Argosy University.
